Air Charter Service sees increase in private jet business
Leading aircraft charter provider, Air Charter Service, has seen an increase of 36% in its private jet business in its half year results.
Joel Fenn, Director Executive Jets commented: “The private jet business is still on the up after the economic slump of a couple of years ago, but this is a considerable rise. Some reports in the media suggest that the market is still slow, but that has not been the case as far as we are concerned. Our executive jet department is our largest department in terms of volume of flights and is constantly growing. We also opened our Los Angeles office in the first half of this year which hit the ground running and has already started adding to the figures.”
The company, which was recognised this week in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 list, is also reporting huge growth in the commercial jet market – which, although being buoyed earlier this year with tens of thousands of expatriates needing evacuation charters from Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Japan, still showed significant underlying growth.
Fenn concluded by adding: “We are very optimistic about the continued future growth of the private jet market over the coming months and into the new year.”
